Tuesday Watch List: Gleemas!

Welcome to Watch List, where we identify five things on TV to watch while you stay at home and take great care to not walk under the mistletoe at the same time as your mom does. LET’S GO!

A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS – 8:00PM (ABC) The annual holiday classic airs tonight. “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.’ That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.” Surprisingly heavy stuff coming from a kid who drags a blanket around everywhere he goes. Stay tuned afterwards for a new seven-minute holiday short called, “Operation Secret Santa,” featuring the voice of Betty White as Mrs. Claus. Betty White is like MSG. She finds her way into everything these days. ANTICIPATION: BETTY WHITENESS!

GLEE – 8:00PM (Fox) If traditional Christmas specials aren’t your thing, then head on over to Fox for the first Christmas episode in “Glee” history. It’s like having carolers come to your door, and then staying for an hour, and then doing a mashup of “Silver Bells” and “Mo Money Mo Problems”. There are people who might like that sort of thing. I don’t know any of them, but they must be out there. ANTICIPATION: GLOLIDAY!

HEAVEN HELP HER – 10:00PM (Discovery Health) The Rev. Alexandra Conrads is an Episcopal priest by day and a heavy metal goddess by night. And wouldn’t you know it, she’s lookin’ for LOVE. So join her in this new reality show as she prowls the streets of LA looking for faces to rock and men to kiss. ANTICIPATION: LITAFORDY!

INSIDE THE ACTOR’S STUDIO – 8:00PM (Bravo – an NBC/Universal Network) James Franco is your brownnosing recipient this evening. “And then, you were in a little film that went by the name of… oh yes, what was it? Oh, of course. SPIDERMAN.” (cue wild applause for three minutes). ANTICIPATION: FOR DEVOTED FRANCOPHILES!

BILLY THE EXTERMINATOR – 9:30PM (A&E) Billy kills himself some feral boars. Now THAT qualifies as a household pest. Also, he saves an injured baby bunny. And then exterminates it. Just kidding. He doesn’t kill it. Billy has the capacity for love as well as for merciless rodent genocide. ANTICIPATION: GOOD BUNNY!
