Malin Ackerman Taking Lindsay Lohan's Sloppy Seconds in “Inferno”

Which is a more puzzling career: A) Taking over a role from Lindsay Lohan? or B) Playing Linda Lovelace? How about C) Both? Malin Akerman, c'mon on down!

Akerman has been awarded (?) the role of Linda Lovelace for the film "Inferno," based on the notorious porn star's autobiography "Ordeal: An Autobiography," which she co-wrote with Mike McGrady.

"We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan," director Matthew Wilder told E! "We are currently in negotiations [with Malin Akerman] and working out the legalities of bringing her on board."

This role was a terrible idea for Lohan. It seems like an even worse one for Akerman, whose films haven't been performing terribly well, but she's at least been getting more and more work. Is she really this desperate for a lead role? One that involves "child abuse, three orgasms, two beatings, intense humiliation and a bloody car crash" in the first 32 minutes?

Watch the NSFW trailer for Wilder's debut effort, "Your Name Here," and ask yourself, would I put my perfectly good career in that dude's hands? To be fair, Wilder's script for "Inferno" did make 2008's Blacklist, but still...
