Modernism and minimalism were on display Thursday night at L2 Lounge as creative expressionist Donald Syriani debuted his first photographic installation "Art Within Photography, the Red and Black Exhibit."
A year and a half in the making, these self proclaimed "photographic experiments" have the potential to end up in some of Washington's famous spaces.
"They are hypnotic images," Syriani said of his photographs, which seem to double as abstract paintings. "They blur the line between imaginary and ordinary."
It's a line Syriani blurs as well -- career professional by day, a modern artist and renaissance man can even boast White House DJ on his resume by night.
