One of her assistants had his wisdom teeth pulled last week, the other one was on crutches and the artist of honor was six months pregnant. It might have been a odd time to debut her new Fall collection, but Aidah Fontenot insisted she was in her element at One Lounge Sunday night.
"It's about being chic and sophisticated, powerful but still sexy and remarkable even under pressure," Fontenot said of her hand-painted collection -- both the wall art and the clothing on display.
But the artist who claims "a woman's best asset is her legs and hips" may be focusing more on maxi dresses than miniskirts in the future.
"I'm considering a maternity line, and I'm definitely going to make clothes for my little boy," she said. "His room is already aqua, sage green and chocolate brown -- the main colors of my collections!"
