The newly renovated MARC Halethorpe Station is opening.
Gov. Martin O'Malley and Sen. Ben Cardin are scheduled to drop by the station on Monday.
O'Malley will take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour the upgraded $32.7 million station.
Halethorpe is among the five busiest stations on the MARC Penn Line. It has more than 1,300 riders a day.
Since 2007, the O'Malley administration says it has invested more than $500 million in MARC improvements. The administration also says ridership has reached an all-time record.
