Hogan Announces More Administration Posts

Gov.-elect Larry Hogan has announced several appointments to his administration.

Hogan announced Tuesday that Stephen Moyer is his choice to be secretary of the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. Moyer served for 24 years with the Maryland State Police.

Hogan named George Owings to be secretary of the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs. Owings held the post in former Gov. Robert Ehrlich's administration.

Hogan also has chosen Al Redmer to be Maryland's insurance commissioner. Redmer held that job during Ehrlich's administration, as well.

John Wobensmith has been selected by Hogan to be secretary of state.

Hogan, a Republican, has been steadily filling out his cabinet. Several key jobs such as budget secretary and transportation secretary remain to be announced.

Hogan takes office Jan. 21.
