Flu-Stricken Bryce Harper Vomits, Collects Four Hits in Nationals' Win Over Marlins

Apparently, Bryce Harper doesn't battle the flu. The flu battles Bryce Harper.

(Remember Chuck Norris jokes?)

Anyway, after sitting out of the Nationals' 8-2 loss to the Marlins Tuesday with flu-like symptons, Harper returned to the lineup Wednesday, needed intravenous fluids before the game, vomited between innings, felt dizzy at the plate and still went 4-for-5 with one RBI in Washington's 6-1 win.

"I threw up four times in the trash can,'' Harper later told Jon Heyman.

"I thought he was gonna die every time he went up there, and he got a hit," manager Davey Johnson said after the game. "After three hits, you're think he's feeling great. But he didn't have a smile on his face the whole game."

The legend continues. Sixteen years from now, we'll actually find out that he was poisoned.
