Today's installment of "Nationals Defining Moments" -- don't sue, MASN -- features Wilson Ramos attempting to throw out Jimmy Rollins only to hit Chase Utley's bat instead, one of many plays that has epitomized the Nationals' woes this season.
Rollins eventually scored to tie the game at 1-1 in the fourth. He also knocked in tying run Cesar Hernandez with a double and scored the go ahead run off Carlos Ruiz's single in the eighth inning as the Phillies pulled out a 3-2 victory.
Washington has lost three of four and trail Cincinnati by 7.5 games in the wild card race with 25 games to go.
Anybody have a fork? They're done.
