Caps Lose for Seventh Time in Row

The Washington Capitals are taking a seven-game losing streak in to the all-star break after losing to the Toronto Maple Leafs Wednesday.

It’s one of the worst losing streaks of the Alex Ovechkin era.

Ovechkin and TJ Oshie collided hard in the first period, and Ovechkin had to get checked for a concussion, but he would return to score his league-leading 37th goal of the season.

However, Toronto took the game 6-3, and the defending Stanley Cup champs fell to 27-17-6, second in the Metropolitan Division and fifth in the Eastern Conference.

NBC Sports Washington has a full analysis of the game, including four reasons the Caps lost.
