Washington Tops American TV Markets In USA-Ghana Ratings

Overall, more than 11 million people watched USA-Ghana, the largest audience ever for soccer on the network. The largest concentration of that enormous number resided in Washington, which had the highest ratings in the country.

Through 14 matches, Washington is the American leader in average ratings across the ESPN networks:

  1. Washington (5.0)
  2. San Francisco (4.4)
  3. New York (4.1)
  4. Boston (3.8)
  5. Orlando (3.7)

  7. Miami (3.7)
  8. Hartford (3.7)
  9. Atlanta (3.6)
  10. Seattle, West Palm Beach, San Diego (3.4, tied)
