MLB rookie hazing usually involves some sort of costume, and on Sunday the Nats' veterans insisted that the newbies get a little Smurfy.
Last year's Nats rookies thought they got lucky when there was no hazing last season. Unfortunately for them, they were included in this year's festivities.
All in all, there were 16 Nats Smurfs, including Stephen Strasburg as one very in shape Papa Smurf.
