By the way, I'm being incredibly sarcastic.
If you actually don't know what I'm referring to, consider yourself lucky.
During some downtime Monday evening, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III decided to check Twitter.

What was intended as nothing more than an innocuous response became a retweet frenzy, one that filled up 306,262 timelines worldwide. It really must have struck a chord.
Because I care about you all enough to save you the mental anguish, I counted roughly 103 retweets from RGIII last night in about an hour's time. I say "roughly" knowing that none of you will actually attempt to prove me wrong.

This is not meant to be a knock on Griffin; he is an incredibly popular athlete and has legions of fans that respect and admire him to the point that a simple retweet can make their entire day. Yet, it was a retweeting rampage that I've never seen and for some reason, I had to report on it.
Excessive retweeting aside, we do get to learn things about our favorite athletes through Twitter. For example, RGIII was apparently listening to "Call Me Maybe" in the locker room Monday.
I guess music is the heartbeat of the world after all.
