Rob Ford Compares Rehab To Redskins Camp

Embattled Toronto mayor Rob Ford recently took a leave of absence and checked into rehab for his well-documented substance abuse problems.

Reached by the Toronto Sun on Wednesday for an update, Ford was in good spirits.

“I feel great,” he said. “Rehab is amazing. It reminds me of football camp. Kind of like the Washington Redskins camp I went to as a kid.”

That's all I got. Apparently rehab is like youth football camp. Yes, this is news.

“When I was 16, 17, 18, I went to Shippensburg, Pennsylvania," Ford said in December. "Dave Butz, Joe Jacoby, Russ Grimm, Jeff Bostic, all the boys were down there. Dexter Manley, Charles Mann, Dave Butz, like I said, Rich Milot…all those guys, I loved them. John Riggins… I went down to a camp and these guys literally taught us how to play football.”
