Mike Shanahan: Redskins to Try Out “Several” Kickers Tuesday as Billy Cundiff's Struggles Continue

Washington Redskins kicker Billy Cundiff stinks. He stinks bad.

Don't believe me and my playground-sounding criticism? Just look at the facts. Cundiff is the least accurate kicker in the NFL at 58.3 percent (nobody else is below 60 percent) and he is one of just two kickers (Adam Vinatieri) to have missed more than one field goal from 30-39 yards.

Head coach Mike Shanahan did not comment on Cundiff's job security after he missed another field goal -- his fourth miss in two weeks -- in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons but did say Monday that the Redskins will try out "several" kickers Tuesday.

CBS's Jason LaCanfora is reporting that the 'Skins plan to bring in Olindo Mare, Josh Brown and Kai Forbath.

To paraphrase an old saying, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me five times, get the heck out of here, Billy.
