Evgeny Kuznetsov Officially Signs Two-Year Contract To Stay In KHL

Apparently, when it rains, it pours in Washington.

Not long after the Capitals traded Tomas Vokoun's rights to the Pittsburgh Penguins, top prospect Evgeny Kuznetsov officially signed a two-year contract with Traktor Chelyabinsk of the KHL, confirming that he will not move to the NHL until at least 2014.

Kuznetsov had been flirting with the idea of joining the Caps, who drafted him with the 26th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, but General Manager George McPhee said last month that Kuznetsov would not join the team during the 2012-13 season.

Now we know, however, that it will be two years.
