Capitals to Face Champion St. Louis Blues in NHL Home Opener

    The Capitals will get another chance to say hi to the Stanley Cup in October, when they open the season against the champion St. Louis Blues.

    Washington heads to Enterprise Center on Oct. 2 for the first game of the season. The Blues will raise their Stanley Cup banner before the two recent chamion teams battle it out.

    Mark your calendars for Oct. 5, when the Capitals play the Blues in their home opener at Capital One Arena.

    The Caps have faced the Blues three times in their home opener, winning each time. Past season, the Washington bested St. Louis in all four face-offs.
