Capitals' Home Opener to Be Broadcast Outdoors in Chinatown

C-A-P-S, Caps, Caps, Caps! 

After their historic Stanley Cup win, the Washington Capitals' home opener will be broadcast outdoors in Chinatown on Wednesday. 

The pregame ceremony outside Capital One Arena will begin at 7 p.m. and will include the raising of the banner marking the Caps' first Stanley Cup win since their founding in 1974.

There also will be a Rock The Red Carpet event starting at 4:45 p.m. Caps players will be on F Street. 

The event was announced Friday by Monumental Sports & Entertainment. 

The game against the Boston Bruins will be shown on the Capital One Arena video board, located above the McDonald’s on G Street NW.

Several streets in the area will be closed to cars.
