Behind Enemy Lines: Dallas Edition

We all know what the D.C. media says about the Redskins, but what’s going on behind enemy lines? During the season, we’re going to head over to the opposing side and look in on the game chatter in preparation for that week’s matchup.

This week we’re checking out what the Dallas team and media are saying about the Redskins.

The media says…

“The timing really couldn't be any better for Newman's return. He has experienced incredible success against the Redskins, collecting nine interceptions in 15 games against Washington. In the Cowboys last meeting against the Redskins, he snagged a pass thrown by Rex Grossman on the final play of a 33-30 victory.” – Rainer Sabin of SportsDayDFW on Terrence Newman’s return.

“If the Cowboys can continue to stop the run like in the first two games of the season, then the Redskins will have a very hard time getting their offense in rhythm. If the Cowboys can disrupt the rushing attack and harass Rex Grossman before things can develop downfield, the Redskins will have major issues.” – Blogging the Boys indicating that Grossman might need an offensive line enforced restraining order.

“The linebackers for Washington aren’t all that great, even if Skins fans will tell you London Fletcher is the greatest player in the history of the universe. Look for the Cowboys, so ravaged by wideout injuries, to make Jason Witten the focus of the passing game and exploit that weak linebacker coverage.” – NBCDFW Blue Star's Drew Magary, who clearly won’t be invited to London’s house any time soon.

The team says…

“That's part of playing football. If they're able to get a clean shot on my ribs consistently throughout the game, then we're probably not doing that well anyway. I'm sure I'll target whoever's targeting my ribs in the passing game.  If he's blitzing, that means he's not covering,'' Romo said. "So we'll attack the guy he's covering.'' – Tony Romo on DeAngelo Hall and the comments about Romo’s ribs being a target.

As long as "how you do" is losing, we're OK with that.
