Monday started at 38 degrees, our coldest start since March 30.

Take a look at some of the cold neighborhoods this morning.

Cold bedrooms and cold bathroom floors are enough to make one want to stay in bed longer.  If you've been holding back with turning your thermostat on you'll get through Monday night without touching the lever.  No freeze watch has been issued by The National Weather Service.  Temperatures will not be as low Monday night but Wednesday and Thursday morning we'll be back to wishing for a little heat.

This early frost is not that unusual.  The average first freeze for D.C. is Nov. 17.
