Following a rainy Tuesday, dense fog developed in the D.C. area.

Both Kent County and Queen Anne's County public schools were open 90 minutes late today, due to the fog. Queen Anne's County also cancelled morning pre-kindergarten classes.

Visibility was about a quarter mile throughout the region, Storm4 meteorologist Veronica Johnson reported.

Drivers should exercise caution.
