It'll be feeling more like April than December this weekend.
A persistent southwesterly wind will bring in weather that's much warmer than average, all the way through the weekend into Monday, said Storm Team 4 Meteorologist Tom Kierein.
Highs Friday afternoon should be in the low 60s, and Saturday should be in the mid to upper 60s. Sunday -- the warmest day of the weekend -- should make it into the low 70s.
The record high for Sunday is 72, was set in 1889.
The spring-like weather will end with the weekend, though. A front will come in Sunday night, bringing rain and cooler temperatures that will gradually move in on Monday.
Monday night into Tuesday will be much colder, with lows below freezing Tuesday morning, and highs Tuesday and Christmas Day only near 40. The weather should be dry for your travel and we shouldn't have any weather problems locally.
