Six Metro Stations Offer Free Wi-Fi in Pilot Program

Six Metrorail stations will be part of a free Wi-Fi pilot program for the next 45 days with an eye toward expanding it to all the stations, according to a release from the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.

The six stations are Metro Central, Gallery Place, Judiciary Square, Union Station, Archives and L’Enfant Plaza. The service will last for 45 days and, at the end, be suspended while the program is evaluated.

As part of the Wi-Fi pilot, customers will be able to test a new “Where’s My Train?” feature, complete with an interactive map and real time train information.
