Phase Two will cause several station closures and impact many county residents. News4's Tracee Wilkins reports. (Published Monday, June 13, 2016)

    What to Know

    • Safetrack, Metro's aggressive new maintenance plan, began earlier this month, and will continue for nearly an entire year.

    • Keep in mind that in addition to the listed service changes, trains may also run less frequently in other areas of the affected rail lines.

Safetrack, Metro's aggressive maintenance plan, began in June, and since then, scheduled shutdowns and single-tracking have come to every line of Metro at one time or another.

SafeTrack is continuing for nearly an entire year, sending ripple effects across the region. Fifteen "safety surges" will alter Metro service for days or even weeks at a time.

Read on to learn when your area will be affected -- but keep in mind that in addition to the listed service changes, trains may also run less frequently in other segments of the affected rail lines.
