Large Crowds on Metro Platforms After Disabled Train Taken Out of Service at Judiciary Square

Metro riders tweeted pictures of crowded platforms after a disabled train was offloaded at the Judiciary Square station Wednesday evening.

Tweets show the platforms at Metro Center and Gallery Place packed with passengers.

The disabled train has been removed but Metro warned of residual delays.

Metro is running more six-car trains than eight-car trains because the 4000-series of cars was taken out of service for maintenance after a door opened while the train was moving recently.
