Lane closures on I-95 scheduled for Monday were canceled.
The Virginia Department of Transportation reported three lanes would be closed on I-95 North nightly beginning Monday night at 9 p.m. and continuing through Saturday night.
It's unclear if the closures will begin Tuesday night or not.
VDOT planned to close one lane at a time until three lanes are closed after the Pohick Road overpass by about midnihgt. That would allow one lane to get by the work area. All lanes would reopen after the Springfield Interchange.
Lanes would reopen by 5 a.m. and possibly earlier as work is completed.
The work is for the bridge in the vicinity of the Franconia Springfield Parkway (Route 289). It is part of the 95 Express Lanes project.
