The Northbound lanes of D.C. Interstate 295 between Foote Street and East Capitol Street will be undergoing road resurfacing between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday morning.
The District Department of Transportation recommended that drivers allow extra time during their commute and consider using alternate routes of travel during those times.
DDOT already repaved the southbound lanes in this area over the weekend but crews will be lane striping that side while they pave the northbound lanes. Drivers in the southbound lanes of Kenilworth Avenue (295) may have experienced delays after 8 p.m. Monday.
One lane of traffic will remain in service on the northbound side during the entire resurfacing period, according to DDOT.
