Vintage Trends We're Ready to Excavate

There's lots of booty to be found at Treasury's grand debut

We feel bad for middle children. Their older sibs have hit every milestone first, and the babies get, well, babied. And the middle component of "reduce, reuse and recycle" does seem to get ignored while its bros "reduce" and "recycle" hog all the glory.

Until now.

(You just knew that was coming, right?)

Saturday marked the grand opening of Treasury, a brand-spankin'-new vintage and lifestyle boutique at 1843 14th St. N.W.

Treasury, brought to you by the ladies of Listopad, will house a selection of vintage clothing and accessories for women, men and kids.

Co-owners Cathy Chung and Katerina Herodotou aim to keep their shop both stylish and eco-conscious. Each vintage garment is carefully selected for its design details, bringing items to the forefront that would otherwise get downcycled or even tossed out. Meanwhile, while everyone else is mingling around in Gap khaki, you'll have quirky gear all your own.

In addition to promoting that vital "reuse" step of clothes-buying, the shop also houses sustainable bamboo flooring and antique furniture.
