Crafty Bastards at Union Market: Headed Outdoors

Room for 140+ vendors under large tents

Crafty Bastards Moves Outdoors, Expands

And now, an update on Washington City Paper's Crafty Bastards arts and crafts fair: It's going outdoors again.

The fair, which will be held at Union Market this year, was originally scheduled to be inside the market building. But City Paper and the market's organizers have been able to expand the festival to take over the Union Market parking lot, which means there will be room for more than 140 vendors under large tents.

Tickets, on sale now, cost $5 and will admit two people if purchased in advance. Kids will be free. (If you buy tickets at the door, they'll only admit one -- so buy now.)

The ninth annual fair will be Saturday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., which makes it a good spot to start your holiday shopping.
