$20 for a Tree? Yes, Indeed-y!

Just grab a saw and go

Ho, ho, ho, has this farmer got a deal for you!

At Michael Ryan's Clemsonville Christmas Tree Farm, you can get a real Christmas tree for $20.

"That includes tax," Ryan told us.

Ryan started the season Saturday with the help of his sons and grandchildren, handing out saws for Christmas tree-hunting families and not a shred of bah humbug, the Frederick News-Post reported.

In other words, the man is as good as his word, if not better. And did we mention the prices?

"The prices are pretty good," Gaithersburg resident Jim Lucey told the News-Post, "You can't beat $20 for a tree."

We can just smell the sweet, piney goodness now...

Ryan bought the 230-acre farm in 1965 and has been selling trees since 1967, according to the Post. He lives in the late 1700s house built by the original landowner, John Clemson (of the Clemson family that founded Clemson University).

The farm is open every day through Christmas Eve until 5 p.m. On weekdays, it opens at 10 a.m.; on weekends, 9 a.m.
