MidCity Sidewalk Sale This Weekend

The heat wave is over, but the dog days haven't begun yet. At least when it comes to MidCity Dog Days Sidewalk Sale, which is happening this weekend, Aug. 6 and 7.
Stores from around 14th and U -- including Junction, Urban Essentials, Current Boutique, Caramel and Rue 14 -- will offer discounts of up to 60 percent.
Food and drink specials will be available at spots including Busboys & Poets, CakeLove and Policy, while Twins Jazz Club and the D.C. Center for the LGBT Community will feature special cultural exhibits and performances.
Studio Theater will hold its annual costume and prop sale, good for home items or, for you Type A's, a very early jump on your Halloween costume.
Locations of participating businesses range from Florida Avenue to Thomas Circle and just off U Street from 9th to 17th.
