Columbia Heights: DC's Best Destination for New Home Owners

Once considered a no-man’s land because of the crime and the lack of development in the area, Columbia Heights is now a destination.
The main reason is the DCUSA shopping center that opened last year. The complex houses a Best Buy, Target, and a Bed Bath and Beyond.
However, despite the changes, the local crime rate remains a black eye for the area.
