Busboys and Poets, a popular restaurant, coffee house, and arts center, has been credited with rejuvenating neighborhoods once down on their luck.

Washington, D.C. is full of gentrification. Positive results can be seen in area's such as the U Street corridor, Chinatown and more recently, Columbia Heights.

With the revitalization of once blighted neighborhoods, it's easy to forget the past. One local business, however, has not forgotten the past while advancing community development.
