Sneak out of work early if you can. The Anchor Bar Bash at the Fish Market (105 King St., Alexandria) starts at 4 p.m. today, although it doesn't end 'til they kick you out.
That's always been our bar-going philosophy, anyway.

To celebrate taking over half the Market's 1st floor, this wood-beamed, leather-stooled, shameless drinkers' den is partying with live music, $2 Peronis, and $3 spiced-rum cocktails/pearl shooters.
Well, welcome, September! Time for spiced rum already?
Draft beers include a custom Fish Market brew (we're hoping it only sounds gross), Sam Adams seasonals and Widmer Hefeweizen.
There's also an "Oh My Guava" daiquiri situation going on, as well as a "Cruzan for a Black Cherry Bruzan." And we're not willing to get in a fight over that one.
