Now under new management, D.C.'s most infamous dry tavern will soon resume food service.

No, you still can't get booze there. Not yet, anyway. Operators of the languishing saloon Shaw's Tavern (520 Florida Ave. NW) announced the reopening on Facebook today:

"Dear Friends, As we are patiently waiting for our liquor license to be issued we have decided to open our doors for business. Shaw's Tavern will serve a light breakfast and lunch menu for weekdays from 7am to 6pm and a brunch menu on weekends from 9am to 4pm. Please stop by as we would love the opportunity to meet our neighbors."

Still Without Booze, Shaw’s Tavern Reopens was originally published by Washington City Paper on Feb. 17, 2012.
