First, the heated seats in your car stopped working. Then you got a parking ticket, even though you definitely paid for the spot via iPhone app. Now this?

Yep, it's true: Starbucks is raising prices by about one percent in the Northeast.

The price for Starbucks' most popular beverage -- a grande (or, you know, "medium") brewed coffee, remains the same, as does the venti.

A manager at a Wisconsin Avenue location confirmed that the price of a tall brewed coffee has increased from $1.65 to $1.82, as of Tuesday.

The price of a tall latte climbed from $3.03 to $3.18, and prices on mochas, caramel macchiatos and breakfast sandwiches also jumped.

MSNBC reports: "Starbucks expects high prices for things like coffee, milk and fuel to cut into profits this year and -- along with restaurant operators ranging from Chipotle Mexican Grill to McDonald's Corp -- is raising prices to help offset some of that cost pressure."

The company generally chooses to adjust prices on a regional basis, and hasn't increased prices nationally since 2007.
