Next Up at Rogue 24: D.C.'s Own José Andrés

Andrés the 4th sub in a parade of top toques to fill in for R.J. Cooper

Tickets go on sale, like, now, for next week's guest chef session at Rogue 24.

D.C.'s own José Andrés will fill in for proprietor R.J. Cooper, who is recovering from open-heart surgery. The James Beard Foundation's "Outstanding Chef" in 2011 is the fourth star substitute in a parade of top toques to take over for Cooper during his recovery.

Spike Gjerde of Baltimore's Woodberry Kitchen begins his own five-night guest stint at the Blagden Alley eatery on Tuesday.

The following week, it's Andrés' turn.  He'll be joined in the open kitchen by his right-hand man, Rubén García. Tickets are $185 a pop with $10 from each purchase going to charity. Get yours here.
