Good thing bathing suit season is finally over.
Bring on the season of the food fest! Taste of Friendship Heights is coming up on Saturday, Sept. 12. From noon to 5 p.m., sample goodies from neighborhood restos like Alfio’s, Indique Heights, Lia’s and Potomac Pizza. Food and drink tickets go for a buck each, and nothing will "cost" more than three tickets.
Live music, AU basketball demos and a moon bounce round out the fun -- but as you'll probably be pretty rounded-out yourself, we recommend leaving the moon bounce to the lightweight kiddos. And if, for any reason whatsoever, you desire to be photographed with the GEICO Gecko, you can achieve that dream on Saturday.
It's happening at the Friendship Heights Village Center (4433 S. Park Ave., Chevy Chase, Md.), a short walk from teh Friendship Heights Metro.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to local charities, including the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington. See the full list of participating restos.
