It's totally OK to get extra syrup. Hey, it's for charity.

    Two glorious words: Free. Pancakes.

Put together, those are some of the most gorgeous words in the English language right now. Hey, there's a recession going on (AKA, we all need some free food), and it's also winter, which means everybody's craving carbs, hard. You see that box of cookies around lately? No? Yeah, that's 'cause we already ate it.

Participating locations of IHOP are celebrating National Pancake Day (OK, so that's pretty much the BEST holiday we've ever heard of) Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. All you have to do is show up and chow down on a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes.

Sure, there's a catch, but it's for a worthy cause: IHOP is collecting donations for the Children's Miracle Network and other local charities. Their 2010 goal is five million bucks in five years... But we ARE feeling pretty hungry, so we're thinking they should be able to raise the dough, as long as you show up, too.
