We all know the agony of the first week at a new job. You're weirdly exhausted, trying to learn the names of 30 people at once and can barely find your way to the bathroom.

Then again, if your new job is a chef at a well-regarded restaurant, you can offset all that newbie stress with crème brule.

We might just have to change careers.

This week, Panache (1753 Pinnacle Drive, McLean, Va.) is debuting its new chef, Claudio Sandri, who hails from Roberto Donna's Galileo. To welcome Sandri into the fold, Panache is celebrating with a three-course prix-fixe dinner menu for a mere $29, available Aug. 17-22.

Choose from apps like endive salad or the crispy yellowfin tuna roll and entrees such as fresh wild scallops or filet mignon (natch). Dessert means panna cotta, bonet or crème brule.

Sounds like a pretty good first week to us.
