Bayou Bakery has been busy preparing king cake, a traditional cake enjoyed at this season throughout the world. David Guas, the owner/chef of Bayou Bakery (1515 N. Courthouse Road, Arlington), makes his version of the dessert without the bells and whistles. "I wouldn't necessarily call myself a purist," said Guas, "but I like just a simple sort of cinnamon-hinted, coffeecake kind of cinnamon roll almost with a little bit of a glaze."
