Upscale new dining spot Cedar has opened at 822 E St. N.W. (Oh, good, because Penn Quarter was really lacking pricy restaurants.)
Cedar, which comes from the owners of Dupont Circle's Front Page, is going for a "field and stream kind of thing," reports Washington Business Journal. Wood accents and wall-sized photos of forests may make you feel like you're camping in the woods, except for the fancy-schmancy entree in front of you.
The menu of hearty-yet-eclectic fare will change daily, focusing on goodies like wild king salmon and price-aged beef, plus seasonally inspired appetizers.
Cedar's Mikias reports that the resto Web site should be up today for all your menu-browsing needs.
Brunch: Sat.-Sun. 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Lunch: Mon.-Fri. 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Dinner: Nightly 5:30-10 p.m.
