“Best of Washington” Party Likely to Live Up to Its Name

Readers' favorite food, drinks and services all under one roof

Ever wish there was a way to edit this city like an old high school paper? You know, delete parts that don't belong or you simply dislike, and then embolden and maybe even copy and paste all of your favorite things. That'd be nice, right?

Well, for one night only, Washingtonian will help turn these city-editing dreams into reality at their annual Best of Washington Party this Wednesday, July 15, from 7-10 p.m. at the National Building Museum (440 G St. N.W.).

The three-hour fête features food and drinks from restaurants and bars that were recently voted D.C.'s best by local readers. In other words, this little shindig is basically D.C. heaven. After all, when and where else can you get an upscale entrée from Citronelle, a cocktail from PS 7's, and a cupcake from Baked and Wired (our fave) all under one roof?

DJ grooves, great people-watching and silent auctions round out the night. The auctions include goodies such as dinner at Charlie Palmer Steak, a Nats package and the opportunity to be a food critic for a night. Yum!

Although registration for the event has already closed, check out a list of the winners to mentally create your own "best of DC party." Stop by a few of these local hotspots and see what all the buzz is about. Meanwhile, swing back to NBCWashington.com on Thursday and we'll give you a recap of this epic event.
