Acadiana Pulls Out All the Stops

New happy hours & specials debut (yum)

Acadiana seems to be creating every reason possible to stuff your face with Lousiana-related goodness. The patio is now open during lunch and dinner, which happens to be where you can attend the spot's crawfish boils Thursdays and Fridays (4-6:30 p.m.). Take your pick of crawfish ($13/pound) or shrimp ($17/pound), plus potatoes and fresh corn on the cob. Buckets of bottled Abita beers are $12. These deals are available on the patio only -- no reservations necessary. So pass the butter already.

Acadiana's new happy hour, called The Big Easy (of course) runs weekdays from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Cocktails for $5 include Acadiana's Signature Category Five (does that seem just a teensy bit inappropriate to you? Yeah, us too), Pimm's Cup and Mint Juleps, plus several wines. All 12 oz. draft beers are only $4. Although we aren't sure exactly WHY you'd be passing up on that Abita bucket special. Cajun popcorn shrimp are $5 and Southern sliders are $2 each.

The Sunday deals might be especially appealing since pretty much no one is in that area of town on the weekends -- which means abundant parking and probably no wait for a table. Score a half-price bottle of wine with each entrée. (Limit two bottles per table. Thank goodness for that.) A prixe-fixe brunch -- available 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. -- is $32 with a mimosa or Bloody Mary.

Basically, go pretty much any time and there will be a special running. So just do already. We're stuck in this office and we are STARVING. (Bring us back something tasty.)
