A “Top Chef” Menu Full of Art and Soul

Art's got soul, all right

OK, before we go any further, we just need to get this out in the open: Art Smith is Oprah's long-time personal chef. Yes, this man cooks for the most powerful leader in the free world.

Art Smith is also co-owner of Chicago reso TABLE fifty-two and D.C.'s own Art and Soul (415 New Jersey Ave. N.W.), which deals in Southern comfort food. And he's also reppin' for D.C. on Bravo's "Top Chef Masters," where he is competing for his charity Common Threads.

To celebrate the show, Smith is presenting his Top Chef Masters Menu, a three-course dinner menu featuring some of his greatest hits. Think deviled eggs with pickled veggies, pecan-encrusted chicken and fried peace pie. The menu is $39 per person; a portion of the proceeds will go to Smith's charity. The menu is being offered now and will end July 31.

Can't get enough "Top Chef Masters"? Make some room in your schedule (and possibly in your tummy, too) for the viewing party next Wednesday, July 22 at Art and Soul.
