10 Pancakes in an Hour: That's a Tall Order

Loosen the belt and get ready to throw back a tall stack of pancakes. If you can down 10 pancakes in an hour at Capital City Diner, you get them free. They'll even zoom out on the camera lens and take your photo to put on their wall.

It's happening Thursday night, April 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. If you can't finish all ten in the hour, it's only 10 bucks. The challenge is getting quite a following on Twitter and Facebook.

Capital City Diner -- a chrome diner that was trucked down to its spot at 1050 Bladensburg Road N.E. -- is heavy on the retro. That means a rotary phone rests on the counter and hearty noshes at breakfast launch and dinner.

If pancakes at night aren-t your thing, there are other specials such as the Fish Fryday deals too. So step back in time and get ready to feast fast.
