Shopping for the Right Boot

Forget cute flats and colorful flip flops, the weather is getting cold and so are my feet. So it’s time to cover my toes and pull out a more fitting style for the weather: boots. But with so many styles and colors, it’s hard to figure out which boots work for me. Here’s a quick guide for finding the right boots to compliment your style and comfort.

Flat boots: If you’re a casual, laid back girl like me, you may not see a reason to sport a heel at all times. Why not be cute and comfortable with a good pair of flat boots? They can be dressed up or down and paired with both jeans and dresses.

Western: You don’t have to be from the Old West to rock these boots! They’re casual and fun and a bold fashion statement! Wear them with a simple flowery dress to heat things up or with a pair of jeans. Remember, when picking a good pair of western boots, make sure they’re made of soft and genuine leather. They’re not an everyday kind of shoe, so if you’re looking for boots to wear anytime, they probably aren’t the pair for you.

Lace Up: They’re good with military style coats or Victorian blouses. These boots come in knee high lengths as well as mid-calf. Tie them tight and strut to work or take them out on the town.

Slouchy: It’s a fun style for a boot; they come flat or with a heel. Wear the slouchy boot any day. Get them in different colors to spice up your outfits.

Booties: You may not like to have all that extra material around your calves and knees. For you there is the bootie: Keep your feet warm while looking fashionable and chic. Wear them with skinny jeans or pencil skirts. They go great with everything!
