Morales, Sotomayor mambo at the Corcoran

WASHINGTON -- The newest Supreme Court justice showed off her moves as she embraced her heritage at the Corcoran Gallery Tuesday night.

While attending the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts' annual gala, actor Esai Morales took Justice Sonia Sotomayor by the hand and led her through a mambo caught on camera by Washington Life Magazine and 8112 Studios.

She didn't swing and sway nearly as well as Morales, but at least Sotomayor demonstrated some of the looseness -- if not quite the hipness -- for which President Barack Obama's administration is known. We applaud her for the effort.

Sources told Washington Life that the Supreme Court's first Hispanic justice practiced for a month for the occasion.
