Pub Crawl with a Snug Twist
In case your old blanket was holding you down, the Snuggie gives you more mobility to drink your beer.

If you haven't heard of the Snuggie, congratulations. I wished I could have 30 seconds of my life back after watching the commercial about a blanket with sleeves that makes you look sillier than the extras from the Harry Potter movies off the set.

If you have seen the commercial, you probably noted that the people behind Snuggie thinks it's completely appropriate, and not ridiculous, to wear this self-esteem killer in public. Snuggie Pub Crawl decided to take the idea one step further, and introduce alcohol, perhaps in an effort to help you forget you're wearing the most unneccessary and potentially embarassing invention in years in public.

While "I really wish I had a blanket, or better yet, a blanket with sleeves" is the last thing I imagine myself saying in a bar, I'm apparently part of the minority. 1,106 pub crawlers have already registered, and the date hasn't even been set yet. You'll have to keep checking back at the website for updates on date and time.

Don't have a snuggie? There's still time to order one online. If you run out of time before the big event, you can always just put on an old robe backwards and no one will know the difference. Plus, if you spill anything on the ground, you can just mop it up with someone's discarded Snuggie. I suppose the possibilities are endless, especially with the extra mobility afforded by the sleeves.

If even the lure of alcohol can't convince you to don a snuggie, do it for the orphans. The proceeds from the pub crawl benefit AC-Orphanage in Arusha Tanzania. The orphanage helps children whose parents were victims of HIV and TB, by providing food, clean water, clothing and schooling. Maybe they'll even throw in a few snuggies.
