Music You Don't Have to Steal

Free summer concert series in Bethesda

Put down your iPod ... and cassette tapes -- we totally know some of you still listen to tapes -- and go outside already. The Bethesda Summer Concert Series is hosting live bands every Wednesday and Thursday through the end of June. And, just like how most people get their music (we're not going to judge, no really), this event is free.

On Wednesday, enjoy a different kind of lunch break when bands perform at noon, at the Bethesda Place Plaza (corner of Old Georgetown Road and Woodmont Avenue). On Thursdays, head out after work -- music starts at 6p.m. at Veterans Park (corner of Woodmont and Norlfolk avenues).

Upcoming Performances:

Thursday, May 28: Janine Wilson (rock)

Wednesday, June 3: Sol & FunkRoot (alt rock, funk)

Thursday, June 4: Patty Reese (rock, blues)

Wednesday, June 10: World Jam Club (world beat, jazz)
