Medical Museum to Be Creepy Elsewhere

When was the last time you basked in the terrifying beauty of a Civil War-era bone saw? Not recently?

Well, if you don't move fast, you're going to have to wait a bit longer. The National Museum of Health and Medicine will close its current location at Walter Reed Medical Center on Sunday, April 3 to prep for a move to Silver Spring. The new space at Fort Detrick-Forest Glen won't open until the fall.

While the museum is closed, staffers will offer activities at other locations in the Silver Spring area. "Stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for details," the museum instructs. Hey, anything as long as you don't come after us with one of those bone saws.
